Spiritual Glitter: A Musical Interlude Moment

Sometimes you wake up with a song in your head and you’ve just got to get it out.

Even if you have no idea what you’re doing.

I’ve somehow inherited this old church hymnal — this is funny if you know me.

Michelle Obama says you gotta have a hobby, and here’s mine: teaching myself to play piano AND LogicPro using this old-ass book of church chants. This is hysterical. And fitting, given my history.

Also, there are some catchy little tunes — who knew?!

Anywhoo, in the spirit of progress over perfection, I offer this nugget of truth — honest enough to get me up in the middle of the night to figure it out. That’s the stuff you gotta pay attention to.

Sometimes you wake up with a song (or a dream, or a story, or a “hell yes”) in your head and you’ve just got to get it out. Even if you have no idea what you’re doing. Even if that scares you. Especially if it scares you.

The rest is coffee.

And spirit.

And glitter. ☕️🌬️✨

SPECIAL HOLIDAY EDITION: Who Ordered the "Choir Girl" ?

I could take or leave the holidays, but one thing I love? Choral music. An avid practitioner of sound healing (shout out Solfeggio frequencies*), there’s nothing that can take me THERE quite like a hymn. Sprinkle it with some candlelight, and I’m through. Case in point: O HOLY NIGHT — out now on Spotify.

I reached out to one of my favorite musical collaborators, Fernando Perdomo, with a brief: a standard Christmas carol, but with midnight mass + Nat King Cole meets Lady Gaga atmospheric vibes. Simple? Never. Just like the holidays. Get messy.

Oh Holy Night — now available for streaming

Thanks for listening! Wishing you peace, prosperity, and Prosecco…because life is better with a bubble.
