spiritual glitter / the weekly

Is it a blog? Is it a vlog? Is it a podcast? It’s all three!

Welcome to my VLOGCAST — I'm Cloie Wyatt Taylor, but you can call me "Cloie". Resident truth-seeker, and your all-American auntie. I'm on a journey to turn myself into my own superhero by building my own empire. We're making it up as we go -- let's get weird!

Spiritual Glitter: the good, the bad, the indifferent

📣 Sound on for SPIRITUAL GLITTER✨

HeyCloie has been hitting the road in search of meaningful art & community!

Art = Joy & Perspective

It’s one of the great unifiers. To me, anyway.

New York City.

How wonderful to be back in your arms.

Literally.

I love the idea of creating on-the-go

Freedom is so important in creating — finding that he key is to always be ready. We’re perfecting our mobile kit, but here’s our setup from our latest stop-n-drop ART-ing.

Came for the protest--

Washington DC

A friend of mine asked me the other day what I mean when I said “spiritual glitter”. I told her that, to me, “spiritual glitter” is anything that makes your heart sing. A moment or mood of such emotional buoyancy, it forces you to to stop, drop, and shake your ass — demands your shoulders to move — THAT is spiritual glitter to me.

When your tastebuds get kissed by something delicious — spiritual glitter✨

Anytime I hear Prince’s “Purple Rain” — spiritual glitter✨

⬅️ ⬅️ Twerking in a ball gown — spiritual glitter✨

When you find gas under $4/gal and there is NO line — spiritual glitter✨

I could continue — and I will — just not right now. Right now, I want to re-introduce this section of the HeyCloie art space as SPIRITUAL GLITTER. Same mood: vlogcast vibes dedicated to empowerment, authenticity, and good times. Also calling it “The Weekly” at this point feels inauthentic. Not because I don’t want to share regularly (because I do and will again). It’s that right now I’m focused on LIVING into a moment before I try to capture or translate it — the good, the bad, and the indifferent. In this world of immediate gratification, fear-pandering, and capitalism overload, I’m finding a certain freedom in that pause before speaking. It’s like feeling into an inhale— experiencing a thing fully before flooding an airstream with half-baked experience. I don’t do it for the ‘gram. I do it for the healing.

I’m also learning that it’s important to bear witness to self in moments of great change. Yes, we all want the external validation that can come from being seen or “picked” by others, it’s human. I think we sometimes forget that we have to honestly bear witness to ourselves, first and foremost— the good, the bad, the indifferent. Otherwise how can we ask it of others? It’s hard to demand that the world see and celebrate you if you’re not able to do it for yourself. And of course there’s the other side — becoming so locked away in “self” that we miss (or dismiss) the world around us. It’s a balance, baby. But how to find it? How to maintain it?

So I have been practicing what I preach — holding my whole self — the good , the bad, the indifferent. I’ve been minding my emotional gaps in a glow up energy space and slaying dragons — that sh*t takes energy and an attention to detail. It’s wonderful, it’s scary, it’s so many things — and some days are better/easier than others. Sometimes there are leaps, sometimes I’m just wiggling a toe, but hey — movement is movement. And yet, I maintain the focus. Not to get it “right'“ or “wrong,” but to get it true. To me, that requires being as present as I possibly can. To see and set my own table. To move my right foot then my left foot, consciously picking the doors I’m walking through in any house I enter. Why? Because although a house may have many posts, many lintels, many entrances, and many exits, I believe that we can only go through ONE door at a time. Unless it’s a double door. Or revolving. But you get the picture — we still gotta do that dance — gotta favor an opening in order to get through it.

Anyway. So much more to come, and I couldn’t be more excited to share. Not to tease…but maybe a little?

In the meantime, believe this: Whatever work you’ve been putting in, know it’s taking root — and that it requires your focus and energy to help it grow. One moment at a time. Yes, it might only be a sprout today, but one day soon it’ll be a whole damn tree.

Go you. Go me. Go us. THAT is spiritual glitter.

Ghost lights be like—

A beautiful BTS moment in Cleveland, OH

Popped over to “the Buckeye State” to catch the opening night of Macbeth.

Grabbed this gorgeous moment that had nothing to do with the show. Wasn’t even in this theater.

Gotta celebrate a discovery.

And sometimes the celebration, itself, turns into a discovery.

I ordered my martini (Tito’s: up, dry, olives) and it came back looking like a whole snack. Had to capture.

Stayed for the cherry blossoms.

Wasn’t intended, but this setup caught my eye and I had to take a sip.
